GREENSBORO, NC – A cutting-edge Greensboro marketing agency has brought home three awards in a prestigious international awards competition which recognizes design prowess. 

Leapfrog Marketing, PR & Design was bestowed with two gold and one platinum Hermes Creative Awards for its work on campaigns for the Triad Jewish Film Festival and Piedmont Plastic Surgery, as well as on its own recently relaunched Web site. 

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals who are involved in all aspects of traditional and emerging media – from writing to design, concept to execution. In traditional Greek mythology, Hermes is the bringer of dreams, the guide of intelligent speech and is known for his ingenuity, creativity and mental quickness. It seems appropriate then that the Hermes Award recognizes the work of outstanding professionals in the marketing industry and represents their role as the creative messengers and innovators of communication materials and programs.

Leapfrog Marketing, PR and Design was formed as the result of a 2008 merger between the Leapfrog Marketing creative agency and Amplify Communications, a public relations and grass roots shop. The honor is the first for the combined agency, and Bressler says it serves as verification that an efficient, full-service approach to marketing, combined with an understanding of the Marketing 2.0 advent of “point-to-point” communication, is a business model ideally suited for today. 

The Platinum Award-winning Piedmont Plastic Surgery Website, whose design was led by Leapfrog, is an example of a “less-is-more” means of communicating business information. The clean, logically-oriented site presents information in a visually-pleasing means, minimizing colors and maximizing navigational efficiency. 

The Triad Jewish Film Festival’s 2009 campaign, which won a Gold Award, was crafted to provide a symbiotic relationship between online and printed materials, ensuring that potential ticket purchasers and sponsors could quickly find the information they needed to make key decisions. The eye-catching design of the Web site, brochure and promotional posters conveyed a new attitude and brought a new swagger to the Festival, which quickly is becoming a regional showcase for globally significant films. Indeed, 2009’s festival sold out in record time, according to event organizers. 

Leapfrog’s Gold Award-winning redesign of its Web site is a bold showcase of the company’s 2008 rebranding efforts, which featured a dynamic update to the company’s “frog” icon and a sharp color palette consisting of silver, white, black and the signature green. The site’s clean and logical navigation and new interactive features have increased its profile, site visits and Google search rank. The newly revised signature frog, strong portfolio of work and catalog of services makes the business’s internet presence both distinctive and informative.
