07 | 01 | 08 -- Leapfrog, Amplify Join Forces
GREENSBORO, NC – July 1, 2008 – Leapfrog Marketing, a strategic marketing and dynamic design firm, and Amplify Communications, a public relations and grassroots marketing firm, have merged their operations, the principals of both companies announced today.
The combined firm – renamed Leapfrog Marketing, PR and Design – will feature 15 associates and consultants, and will operate from Leapfrog's headquarters location in Suite D at 3406 W. Wendover Ave. in Greensboro, with a separate satellite office in Charlotte. As a full-service marketing agency, Leapfrog will join just a handful of firms in North Carolina with the resources to manage all aspects of a strategic branding, marketing and communications plan.
Amplify founder Jordan Bressler, 38, will be president of the combined agency. Leapfrog founder Justo Nunez, who has led the agency through a distinguished 15-year record of success, will continue to serve Leapfrog in a consultancy role.
Amplify and Leapfrog have a long-standing partnership and have offered their
complementary services to three North Carolina firms – DataChambers, a business continuity and data backup firm; ImageMark, a Gastonia, NC-based printing and business services firm; and Prevention Strategies, a company that provides drug and alcohol educational resources. Combining the firms to provide all of their client partners with greater integration of services seemed a logical next step.
“After 15 years of helping other companies take a ‘leap ahead,' I am excited that
Leapfrog Marketing now has this unique opportunity to leap forward as well,”
said Nunez. “I have been impressed with Amplify's philosophy and profound
growthand believe that Jordan shares my business philosophy of offering a very strategic and, more importantly, customized approach to marketing.”
Both companies have played a key role in helping their clients become more strategic and efficient in dealing with the challenging economic climate. As a combined full-service firm, Leapfrog Marketing, PR and Design will be able to use its strength and capabilities to guide a company's campaign from idea to reality in an efficient, “one-stop shop” manner.
“Amplify has been at the crest of this wave that has swept the marketing world,
and truly understands how to best help its client partners harness these powerful new communications tools,” said Bressler. “We believe Leapfrog Marketing, PR and Design – from day one – will be able to showcase its clients to the public in new ways that its competition is still studying how to leverage.”
Both Leapfrog and Amplify had their genesis in the corporate arena, with both Nunez and Bressler working in the management of Fortune 500 companies prior to creating their firms. This innate understanding of corporate processes – and most importantly, ROI – has translated into impressive results for an even more impressive portfolio of clients. Leapfrog has served clients such as Avery Dennison, Ciba Specialty Chemical, Holt Hosiery Mills, VF Corporation, Impact Fulfillment Services, Temporary Resources, Kayser-Roth and Unifi ;
Amplify counts Lorillard Tobacco Company, Beacon Technologies, the United Way, YMCA and other well-known names in its portfolio.
Amplify previously acquired Lede Public Relations, a Madison, NC-based firm, in February 2008. An existing Amplify alliance with Necessary Marketing – which provides media planning and buying services, as well as custom video production capabilities – will continue. Necessary Marketing will be located at the Airport Center location and will continue to be managed by Keith Dyer.
